Tutoring: 

You will be sent an invoice at the start of each month and pre-pay for your lessons that month. If you are unable to make a lesson you must notify before the 24 hour deadline and you will receive a makeup credit. 

Most of the time our tutors will work with the child through their assessments or homework. We encourage open communication and if you want your child to be extended beyond their level we recommend you ask the students teacher for the resources which our tutors can work through with your child. 

It always depends on the Child's goals, learning styles and capabilities. 

1-1 sessions are very traditional and can provide great support to those who feel like they are behind their cohort. 

However, we also love group sessions at Joie Kids. We do not allow classes to exceed 4 students so that the tutor can still individually mark each Childs work and answer direct questions. We understand that especially in years 11 and 12 most students perform at their highest level when they present nuanced, in depth discussions, so through tutor lead peer discussions students unlock the potential to gain greater insight into their work.
